An essential oil burner, created as part of the Interchangeable Mould Project. Add water and a few drops of your favourite essential oil to the inner dish, and then light a small tealight below in the main body and allow the fragrance to fill the room. This project explores a creative approach to mould-made ceramics by using different combinations of a limited number of shapes and forms to create a variety of different final pieces. Developing on past project themes including buildability, collage, changeability, stackable forms, and combinations of material types, including use of both pre-existing components such as cork, and newly created components such as wooden dowel. Each piece is stamped with a number code on the base which describes the mould parts used to create the form.
As with all handmade items, please note that small variations and imperfections may be present and colours may vary slightly. Dishwasher safe, hand wash recommended. Replacement dowel rods and inner ceramic pots are available, please see replacement component page for further information.
